With it becoming a more commonly liked pastime, paintball is definitely a hot topic on people’s lists of fun activities.  What’s not so fun, however, is the danger factor that is involved.  This risk of danger can easily be alleviated by taking precaution and covering up the two things everyone depends on most — their hands.  How do you go about doing this?  It’s very easy.  Believe it or not, you can do this by wearing paintball gloves.  Wearing paintball gloves largely decreases your chance of getting scratches, cuts, sprains or any other hand injuries that could be received during game play.  On the beneficial side, wearing paintball gloves also improves your overall grip, which in turn enables you to have accurate targeting and achieve maximum performance.

 ADVANTAGES

There are several advantages to wearing paintball gloves.  To start, they protect your hands from any discomfort that may be experienced while actually firing paintball guns.  As a result, this enables you to have a stronger and more effective grip on your target.  The gloves themselves absorb the gun’s impact, in addition to any impact from paintballs that have been fired from the opposing side.  What’s even more surprising is how paintball gloves protect you in climate weather.  When it’s cold, the gloves keep you warm with the insulation from the material.  This same warmth can help you continue to properly maintain your feeling of the gun while it is in your hands.

 CHOICES

Any true paintball aficionado will tell you that when it comes down to playing, you have two options when considering gloves — material and style.

Material.  There’s one thing that always serves as a primary basis when it comes to making these gloves.  That fact is, the fabrics chosen {nylon, leather, and/or plastic} are to be light and extremely durable. While they are padded to provide some degree of comfort for the individual wearing them, they should not be too thick or heavy.  Why, you ask?  If a glove has entirely too much fabric or padding, this will restrict your hand movement altogether.  Therefore, taking the fun out of playing paintball.

Style.  Generally, paintball gloves are designed as either half or full-fingered.   Your half-finger gloves are best to be used during hot days, but are safe enough to use on normal temperature days as well.  Half-finger paintball gloves allow you enough freedom to move your fingers as much as you please, without feeling restricted.  In addition, they allow air to properly circulate, which decreases the chance of sweat building up inside your hands and forming unnecessary bacteria and germs.  These gloves are designed to cover the entire inside of your palm, providing protection from hits, scratches, or any other mishaps.  Perhaps the most advantageous factor in half-finger gloves is that they allow you to feel the paintball gun trigger in its entirety.  As a result, this allows you the ability to fire much faster.  The downside to these gloves is that they offer less insulation against shock from firing the trigger.  On the other hand, full finger gloves completely cover the hands and fingers.  They can be worn on normal or hot days as well.  While they do provide the warmth and protection that the half-finger gloves do not, their biggest disadvantage is that they somewhat restrict your finger movement. In turn, because of the interference from the gloves, this has a tendency to slow down your firing rate.
